THE BRIEF

What the client needed

A midstream operator commissioned PSG to provide construction-phase QA across two new compression stations on a Permian gathering system. The package included vendor inspection of major reciprocating compressors plus on-site monitoring through mechanical completion.

PSG'S APPROACH

What we did, in order

  1. 01

    Two-month vendor inspection campaign across the compressor OEM and three skid fabricators, with focus on weld quality and dimensional verification.

  2. 02

    Field deployment of two construction inspectors for the eight-month construction window; daily reports and weekly summary reporting.

  3. 03

    Witnessing of all radiographic NDT on process piping, with technique adherence and findings interpretation reviewed before sign-off.
