THE BRIEF
What the client needed
A US owner had qualified a Northern Mexico fabricator for a five-vessel package destined for a Gulf Coast refinery turnaround. With limited operator bandwidth and a tight turnaround window, the owner contracted PSG to embed a vendor inspector at the fabricator for the duration of the build and to run an end-of-build capability evaluation.
PSG'S APPROACH
What we did, in order
- 01
Full-time vendor inspector embedded at the fabricator for 14 weeks, with daily reports in English and Spanish.
- 02
Material certification verification on plate, flange, and weld consumable receipts.
- 03
Witnessing of welder qualification tests, pressure tests, and dimensional acceptance.
- 04
End-of-build capability evaluation written against ASME Section VIII Div 1 and the owner-specific MSE.
